BloxStrike Case 1 Removed: Will Skins Become More Valuable?

BloxStrike has officially announced the retirement of Case 1, making it the first case in the game's history to be permanently retired. Originally released on December 5th, Case 1 has been a staple of BloxStrike since launch and has introduced some of the game's most recognizable skins, including the AK-47 Sakura, Desert Eagle Mercy, and Glock-18 Fade.

Although Case 1 is technically the first retired case in BloxStrike, it isn't the first exclusive case in the game. The Winter 2025 Case was previously part of the regular case rotation, but after its rotation ended, it was never made obtainable again. As a result, it has remained an exclusive case ever since. The difference is that Case 1 is the first standard case to be officially retired from the active case rotation.

Despite its retirement, Case 1 isn't completely gone. Players still have a very small chance of receiving a Case 1 as a random post-match drop. These drops are exceptionally rare, meaning the overall supply of unopened cases will continue to increase at a much slower rate than before.

What Does This Mean for the Market?

With Case 1 no longer obtainable, the supply of its skins will gradually become more limited over time. Many of the skins already have strong demand, and retirement is expected to increase their desirability even further. As a result, players can expect many Case 1 skins to rise in RAP and trading value as collectors begin holding onto their inventories.

Three of these knife models are already available in other cases with all of their finishes. However, one knife remains largely exclusive to Case 1.

The following Flip Knife finishes are currently only obtainable through Case 1:

These finishes are currently exclusive to Case 1, making them some of the most interesting items to watch following the retirement announcement. However, it's worth noting that BloxStrike could choose to introduce these finishes in future cases, meaning their exclusivity may not last forever.

Should You Buy or Sell?

While Case 1's retirement will almost certainly affect the market, it's important not to panic buy or panic sell. Looking at previous case releases and the fact that most other knife models from Case 1 have already returned in newer cases, there's a strong possibility that the Flip Knife and its finishes could make a return in future case releases.

For now, the market will likely be volatile as players speculate on future updates. Whether these skins continue to climb in value or eventually stabilize depends on what BloxStrike decides to do next.

While new Case 1 drops are still technically possible, their extremely low drop rate means they are unlikely to have a significant impact on the market. As fewer cases are opened over time, the supply of Case 1 skins is expected to become increasingly limited.
